Hello people,
Welcome and thanks for visiting. Assuming you came here to know me better, let me afford you some 411. I am a serious lyricist with a humorous twist, a cunning linguist at large, singer songwriter, jane of any rhythm master of none, folkish guitar player, banger of tonally pleasing objects, and occasionally an emcee. Thus my nickname EMCEE Elroy....
Something I have learned through EMCEE-ing various festivals and public events is that I prefer facilitating to space filling. I like Emceeing talent shows more than stages. Especially the type of talent shows that include kids hula hooping, a raffle, and an erotic seaweed strip show in the same evening. Granted, it's a very long evening but great.
I reccomend an excercise in musical delight to everyone. Put an inch or so of water in a metal bowl. Strike the bottom of the bowl while moving the water around. Sonic delight, pure and simple. It might make you think that you are a musician. Follow that impulse. I'm sure you are correct.

Just back from yet another weekend at the Northern California Women's Herbal Symposium, my favorite gathering for women. I taught 2 drumming classes there and feel so connected to the power of the drum right now that I am inspired to create community around that here in Santa Cruz. Send me an email if you are a Santa Cruz SISTER and want to drum abundantly and do ritual by the light of the full moons.
So it's like this. Magic and intention create our realities. Prayers placed on crystals with candles lit can manifest for you any thing you desire. Thought you might like to remember this powerful fact in case there is anything you need. Also, I believe things are changing for the better. I feel an upswing of optimism and hope.

I'm open to all possible instruments. Dreaming a set drummer or another percussionist (to play with and against me musically) a cello? Something electronic? Guitar? It's all ok with me as long as it helps to create a diverse and AMAZING show.
